About Lee Meadows

With over two decades of experience in IT, I currently serve as the Lead Federal Systems Engineer at Sonatype. In this role, my team specializes in supporting the Department of Defense (DoD)/Intelligence community and large commercial clients with the Sonatype Air-Gapped Environment (SAGE) product. SAGE is the only truly air-gapped solution, enabling them to harness the power of Sonatype Lifecycle, Repository Firewall, and Nexus Repository, driven by the world's premier data on open-source components, within the highest security air-gapped networks worldwide.Prior to my current position, I was a Senior Solution Architect at Ryft (now Blacklynx), where I led technical demonstrations of Ryft’s hardware and software products, conducted pre and post-sales proof of concepts and evaluations, assisted the sales team in qualifying leads, and delivered live in-person presentations at various trade shows including Super Compute, HPC User Forum, Elastic{on}, and Strata/Hadoop.Before joining Ryft, I held roles as a Senior Principal Engineer at BAE Systems and as a Senior Software Engineer at Lexis Nexis, where I supported SIGINT systems in the Intelligence Community (IC). I am passionate about shaping the narrative of IT innovation to safeguard the nation’s software supply chain and remain committed to contributing to this evolving landscape.As a DoD contractor for BAE Systems and Lexis Nexis, I tackled complex HPC, Cloud, and Big Data challenges, including migrating commercial applications into air-gapped environments, integrating open-source systems on HPCs, developing and modifying existing code, analyzing and ETLing new data sets into production systems, and providing critical support to hundreds of end users on time-sensitive missions.
