A HSE professional with just over 22 years of experience primarily in upstream Oil & Gas processing, I consider HSE as an extremely critical support function for Operations and hence approach it with a healthy dose of ‘common sense’ . A people person by nature has helped me adapt and thrive in the HSE environment despite being from a technical background. The last ten years of my career has been in Managerial roles albeit addressing different aspects of the business and requiring different approaches considering multicultural/ behavioral work groups. I bring fairly good presentation skills having presented to varied groups of people from fresh trainees to highly experienced field hands to top management. A natural trainer and communicator I helped develop and deliver a 3 hour module on HSE for non HSE personnel as part of a previous employers Project Execution University initiative. I consider mentoring an innate aspect of my positions and always work to Work to develop a second tier of management within my group as good management practice. My HSE experience covers both Onshore & Offshore environments. I am a Lead auditor for ISO managements systems (9001, 14001) an Accident and Incident investigations specialist (Taproot, Severity Matrix ) . I also have working knowledge with design safety elements like EEERA, QRA, FRA, HSECES-Performance Standards, HSEIA, Safety Layouts etc.
