Analyzing the drawing in all respects like welding, dimension, and specification given by theclient. To ensure that, the job is done as per the approved drawings and quality norms set by the classification societies like ABS, DNV, and IRS etc. Decision making in strength point of view for complicated issues in drawings. Selecting suitable welding processes to obtain desired quality.  Planning for getting desired quality and reduce material wastage. Visual inspection of fit-ups, monitoring of in process welding and post-weld inspections. Conducting Dry survey, welding inspection,  Preparation of production planning and scheduled planning of resources like Manpower, Material and Machines. Identifying and eliminating issues, which lead to wastage of raw materials. Conducted and emphasised the need for safety in the work place among the workers. Weekly progress review meeting with superiors, subordinates and sub contractors.
