With over 25 years of experience as a professional quantity surveyor, contract administrator and expert advisor, I am the founder and owner of Sum Ltd, a private practice that provides project and cost management services to various sectors, including Education, Industrial, Luxury Retail, Manufacturing, Residential, Heritage and Conservation, Sports and Leisure. I have completed a BSc(Hons) in Commercial Management & Quantity Surveying at Loughborough University, gained an MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration from Leeds Beckett University and succesfully negotiated the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses program with the University of Leeds.My mission is to be the first choice provider of professional services to my clients, offering integrated Cost Managmeent services and independent assurance on building and engineering projects. I specialise in Quantum, Cost Planning, Contract Management, Dispute Resolution and Expert Advice. I have worked with clients, developers, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, end users and legal practitioners, delivering successful projects and resolving complex issues. I have also received recognition and awards for my work, such as the 'Best New QS Firm' at the 2007 National QS Awards. I have contributed to the Parliamentary Review, and I am proud to be part of the Sum Ltd team, which consists of experts in project management, cost management, dispute resolution and niche services.As a member of the CIArb, TAE, QSi and RICS, I keep regularly informed of market developments, best practice, and changes in common law and statute. I joined The Academy of Experts where I am a Practicing Associate and have completed formal Expert training at The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn.
