I have joined the Customer Service and Support engineering group at Microsoft. I am a Private Cloud consultant at Microsoft. As a Microsoft employee, I help deliver on-premises enterprise cloud solutions to major enterprise customers. Deploying a private cloud can involve expertise across many technologies including, Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and the System Center management suite.In this role I've helped to deploy over 100,000 seats of Windows XP to Windows 7 migrations in several global, multi-million dollar businesses playing an active role primarily in System Center Configuration Manager design/implementation and Application CompatibilityThere is also a fair amount of custom development work when it comes to application monitoring, virtual machine management, and overall infrastructure orchestration and automation. Worked closely with Datacenter technicians, Operations Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Network Engineers from day one to launch new internet services which include: Gmail, YouTube, AppEngine preview, and Maps, to name a few, and continued to support such services throughout their lifecycles. I started out working in Google's datacenters helping to build, invent, and optimize Google's hardware production infrastructure and network. Eventually, I began automating tasks creating several script-level to full-blown application-level processes to streamline the way people work in these massive datacenters. I have written applications for Google's network, computer servers, and high-level monitoring of system services which have been used for years at Google.I now play a Systems Engineering role at Google working less with hardware and more with system services in many environments namely, Linux. Here I continue to automate tasks and write a fair amount of technical documentation as well as serve as project lead for various processes.

I worked in a couple of departments. Monitoring and Diagnostics where I created automated tools for IT helpdesk who used these tools for quickly troubleshooting issues with the Engineers in the field. Secondly, I worked in the Business Continuity Group where the main focus was on disaster recovery of system services and damage coverage. I created automated tools here as well to help profile our system as well as wrote a detailed Design Proposal for an Expert System which has knowledge of how all our system services are connected and the failover methods. This system prototype had linguistic capabilities and could actually recommend a course of action. (Written mainly with Prolog + the Prolog LogicServer and some Java).
