I work to support users of the MCNP code both internal and external to LANL. I have assisted users world-wide in fixing input bugs and suggesting alternative methods. I have a hand in the documentation of the code and am an editor/contributor for the upcoming revision of the user manual.I have worked to fix several bugs found by various users which will be included in the upcoming release of version 6.3 of the code.

Completed requirements for a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological sciences. Focused on plasma physics. Prior experience working with Monte-Carlo method codes and detection systems.

Performed research in the role of a summer fellow with the Center for Space Nuclear Research (a part of Universities Space Research Association). Developed a new propulsion reactor based on the Kiwi B4E reactor from Project ROVER. Design utilized modern materials and kept modern manufacturing in mind during the design. I built an MCNP model of the reactor from the ground up in order to perform neutronics simulations at multiple reactor states.

Performed research to optimize a vehicle mounted directional gamma ray detector array. The array was simulated using MCNP and tests were performed on real world detectors to confirm simulation accuracy.Contributions included developing the initial array geometry using MCNP and the real-time angle-finding algorithm using Python and MATLAB to determine the angular position of a rogue radioactive source in 3D space.The work was continued at Penn State and expanded to look at machine learning applications to angle finding.

All employees were expected to perform free services including battery and wiper installations as well as offering solutions to customer's car problems.
