I am the founder and director of The Sampson School of English; a global online academic tuition school. I teach students from Year 7 through to Year 11, with a clear focus on directing the learning towards exam skills and methods for top grade attainment. I have a proven portfolio of success through my experience of supporting students of all levels on a 1:1 basis - including those with differing SEN needs. I prepare all of my lessons to fit the criteria of the 3 main exam boards, AQA, EdExcel, and Eduqas, and encourage students to succeed through my firm, fair, and friendly approach. I am also a specialist English teacher at a sixth form college.Previous to this, I have also gained experience as a Secondary KS3 & KS4 English Teacher, with an additional responsibility as firstly a KS3 Co-ordinator for English, then later, the Second in Faculty and KS4 Co-ordinator for English in two mixed secondary schools in North London.I have also had the responsibility of being an NQT, and PGCE mentor, working closely in a supportive role to guide one trainee teacher, and one newly qualified teacher.Responsibilities alongside teaching, in each of these roles, included the restructuring and the coordination of both the KS3, then the KS4 curriculum for the academic year.I was also a form tutor for a Year 9 and then Year 12 group, which included pastoral duties for the students under my care.
