The UK began accepting Ukrainian nationals fleeing the war from April 2022. This in return created an influx on Refugees in to the borough. Working within a core team based a City Hall, I was involved in managing the day to day running of the Ukraine project along side several external organisation to create effective pathway for refugees into the borough and into accommodation, schools, GP and accessing financial support. My responsibility extended to managing the Host/ Guest relationship within the Governments Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
