My division of work is under the Government Operations Centre (GOC), within the Exercise and Continuous Improvement working group. In this position, I am expected to organize a planned approach to evaluating past and recent events, in the effort of improving Emergency Management (EM) responses to future events. Events may include (but are not limited to) fires, floods, and earthquakes. Though this is the intended projection of a program coordinator position, this position also covers a broad range of tasks that include event planning, contracting, international communications, cyclical event tracking, and report writing.
