I love problems where solutions present themselves as a process of imperfect improvements. Looking back, I find this a little startling given my background. A bachelor degree in math and physics teaches you (for the most part) that there is a right answer, and that it is simple and beautiful. The same cannot be said for agriculture. In the ag-tech space, solutions are found through a long hands-in-the-muck process. Working as a product engineer for Growvera, I have been hunting in the mud for a solution in plant-health monitoring.In my team I am sought out for all things cloud and analytics, from architecture to implementation. There is much that happens between a wireless sensor sending a message to processed data being presented on a dashboard, and the robustness of a wireless solution is dependent on the cloud. I pride myself on being willing to pivot and being a good listener. I believe that every interaction with a customer is telling you something. As developers, we have the choice to ignore this information and build the wrong product or take feedback to heart. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, gardening, and a good game of ping-pong or soccer.
