Growing up on an eclectic diet of Trance and Techno provided by their family’s record collection, DJ Mosh is hard to pin down musically. Inspired by their family’s diverse tastes and love for music, he took up the CD players at the age of 18. It was only a few years later that he discovered late night electronic dance music parties, clubs that played breathtaking rhythms from the trance scene and more underground events playing beats from the techno and deep house scene. Inspired by their family’s diverse tastes and love for music, he took up the CD players at the age of 18. It was only a few years later that he discovered late night electronic dance music parties, clubs that played breathtaking rhythms from the trance scene and more underground events playing beats from the techno and deep house scene. This is where the story began…DJ Mosh took a further interest into the DJing scene and began mixing his podcasts dubbed ‘TrancEffect’ while still learning the various aspects involved in meddling with electronic music. There-after he began playing for private parties for friends and family, after which in late 2010 he got a chance to play in front of a small live crowd in a local club in Nairobi with the BPM Kenya team, a like-minded group of DJs/producers with a passion for similar sub-genres of EDM. This was the stepping stone of his career; with influence and inspiration from names like Dash Berlin, Sander Van Doorn to name a few, he developed a strong sense of ability to read the crowd and deliver quality versatile performances with diverse genres of music from the EDM scene ranging from the deeper, melodic and progressive sides to fist pumping high energy uplifting trance 2013 - saw him feature on the line up’s for various events like the Rift Valley Music Festival, Saints Fest 2013 hosted by St. Mary’s School and after playing for a couple of more events for BPM Kenya, in mid-2013, DJ Mosh officially became a part of the team, and now assists in coordinating, organizing and managing parties by BPM Kenya, at various locations: Treehouse Club, The Loft, Gypsies.2014 – Acquiring a radio show on www.spaceradio.fm, as well growing in the local EDM scene Show less
