I'm currently working as Senior AI Researcher at CCC Intelligent Solutions, a leading provider of AI-powered solutions for the insurance and automotive industries, where I build Vision Foundation Models (VFMs) for car damage detection, a challenging and impactful application of AI/ML for the insurance sector. I got my PhD in 2022 from the University of Illinois at Chicago under supervision of Prof. Brian Ziebart, where I worked and published on fair (unbiased) classification under distributionally robust learning, a novel and important topic in the field of AI ethics and fairness.I have a strong background and expertise in various ML paradigms. Currently I'm focused on building foundation models backed by Transformer models for custom purposes in the industry, utilizing various self-supervised pre-training and fine-tuning regiments. I value collaboration, innovation, and social impact, and seek to translate technical knowledge into product and business objectives, and productionize state-of-the-art ML research.
