I am a current graduate of UCSD with a Bachelors in Marine Biology. I have always loved being on the water and I am very passionate for animals and marine life. My goals for the future is to work in the Marine Science field and grow to find something that I truly love doing. I also would like to pursue a Masters in Marine science or related field . I am a hardworking, well organized person that works well individually or within groups.I have always had a passion for animals specially dogs and horses. I have cared and rode horses since I was young. As a young adult I have rescued and rehabilitated dogs that had been abused or abandoned as well as work closely with a Search and Rescue organization teaching bloodhounds and German Shepards. In High school I got the opportunity to work on a tall ship as the cook and I continued to work on the water for many years until I decided that I wanted to focus on marine education, similar to programs that were on the ships. During the times that I was home, I cared for my grandmother, who was terminally ill and needed continues care. During my time at University I started volunteering at the zoo and aquarium working with enrichment of animals or informing public about new sciences concerning marine life and animals. I also had the opportunity to work with a professor in his lab, first helping a post-doc with her research and then finishing up my final year with my own research project.
