I am an Adelaide-based graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of South Australia. Having majored in Creative Writing and Literature, my passion for editing and writing has extended from my year 12 studies, in which I focused heavily on the arts, including that of English Studies, receiving an award of Excellence for my dedication to the scope. Having continued my studies through the completion of a short course in Advanced English Writing and Grammar at TAFE in South Australia, as well as a course in Writing, Editing, and Publishing through Open Universities Australia, I have gained extensive knowledge in the field of professional writing, editing, and the process of publication. I believe that a largely valuable skill in the professional field of editing and professional writing is that of communication and clarity, allowing clients to voice their opinions, and presenting their work in a way that is reflective of their personal brand, style, and values. My experience in retail, including my work at Ferrari Bridal Emporium, as well as local South Australian brand, Haighs, has allowed me to develop an understanding of not only how to effectively interact with colleagues and clients but has allowed me to view a company from the inside out, including the importance of the portrayal of a brand through its presentation and brand management, including that of professional writing and editing. In my last two years of study, I hope to gain further practical experience in the field of editing and professional writing. Making use of my knowledge of English literature and grammar, in addition to my ability to communicate efficiently in a professional setting, I am eager to take on new roles within the workforce.
