As a team leader of a leisure centre, I not only had the same responsibilities of that of a lifeguard but as the added responsibility of managing a team. It was my responsibility to oversee the day to day running of the leisure centre, maintaining cleanliness, pool safety and for filling customers activity bookings.I was responsible for having building keys, codes to alarms and access to safes which contained money.

As a lifeguard it was my responsibility to ensure pool cleanliness and enforce pool safety. I had to partake in on going training both physical fitness and first aid knowledge. In January 2012, whilst working as lifeguard/team leader, I was involved in rescuing a man. I was the first person to reach him in the water and from there had to manage the rescue to ensure the best possible outcome.
