I am a 26 year old interested in Sports Physiotherapy, with a focus on fitness and injury prevention. Completed my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at UniSA in 2019 with a goal to start my Masters in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy in the coming years. This will help me to reach my ultimate personal goal and improve my skills to become a profession Sports Physiotherapist. Currently (for the past 5 seasons), I am working amongst a highly professional team of experienced sports physiotherapists and medical staff at the Port Adelaide Football club as a Physiotherapist, for both the AFL and SANFL team. Additional to this I am a fully qualified Lifeguard at the SA Aquatic and Leisure centre for the Past 5 years. I have slowly progressed through the centre in a variety of roles such as Lifeguard Supervisor and Event Supervisor. This job helps me to continue to improve my communication skills, professionalism and mentor role. Once a year I also take part in the Medical team for the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Philip Island for the past 4 years. I have always had a passion for Motorcycle racing and this role allows me to experience a fast paced environment for working in.My whole life has revolved around sport. When I was younger I competed in Swimming up until the age of 17, reaching both state and national team levels. From the age of 16 I decided to add a few extra disciplines into the mix and compete in Triathlons. Within the first 6 months of competing I had made a state team and finished in the top 20 at the national championships. I unfortunately had to give up triathlons due to the high training load bit ultimately due to an injury. This was what lead me to doing Physiotherapy. So from here I went and got my Sports trainers certificate and for 2 season looked after the FFSA U13 and NTC Girls Football teams, travelling across the state and Australia for games as their manager and Sports Trainer.
