I founded The Natural Beekeeping Company as a way of leading research in to the sustainability of commercial beekeeping in Scotland . Our aim is to use Native Bees to Scotland, forming a collective with other Apiarists who choose to do so. We place our hives on organic land and farms where possible, do not treat chemically and hope to work with more like minded individuals who are passionate about saving this amazing endangered species.We will be working closely with Forestry Commission Scotland as part of their Native Species conservation and habitat management initiative.Producing a range of Raw and infused honey, natural cosmetics and honey-based craft spirits.

As one of the main, full- time Tour Guides at Scotland's first and only combined brewery and distillery I gained extensive knowledge in both Beer and spirit production, including a merited Whisky Diploma. Public speaking was a large element of this position, from giving tours of the site, to hosting large private tastings and exhibiting at events.Event organisation, general admin and packaging/production duties also undertaken on a daily/weekly basis.Experience in both brewing and distilling production.

A s a commmercial Bee farmer I specialised in all aspects of husbandry, including - hive maintenance, feeding, shifting, splitting and swarm catching, harvesting and extracting.During this role I was required to undertake a Bee Inspectors course at SASA, enabling me to recognise, manage and treat various bee diseases accordingly.
