At the age of 9 when I realized my career as an Olympic Gymnast wasn't going to pan out, I unknowingly decided to put my efforts into my next biggest passion: people. I am a huge people person, and I always have been. I love spending time with people, working with people, working for people, you name it. My time working within a non-profit has switched my mind from helping people overcome physical issues and obstacles to more of a focus on tackling mental and emotional challenges. A career in social work may not be the first thing that comes to mind for many when they think of a profession to work with people on a daily basis, but I cannot think of a better profession than one that allows me to come alongside of another person and face their struggles and celebrate their successes with them.
