Ashley A. Marton is a partner at Cambreleng & Marton, LLC in Portland, Oregon. Her work primarily focuses on representing employees facing workplace discrimination and retaliation, sexual harassment, and whistleblowing retaliation. She also represents employees in severance and employment contract negotiations. She regularly handles issues related to onerous non-competition and non-solicitation provisions. Ashley’s passion for helping “real people” has been a cornerstone of her legal career. She firmly believes that worker dignity is essential to a productive and just society. Ashley fights tirelessly to preserve and defend worker rights and considers her role as an attorney as a privileged opportunity to help others. Prior to joining Cambreleng & Marton LLC, she worked for five years at Crispin Employment Law representing Oregon employees. Before moving to Oregon, she worked at litigation law firms in Arizona and New York, representing employees and injured individuals. During law school, she worked at the Phoenix Regional Office of the EEOC, which helped develop her passion for employee rights and workers’ dignity. Ashley also spent a year living and working in Nairobi, Kenya, volunteering with the Girl Child Network and sparking a lifetime of public service. Ashley is the co-author of the Defamation and Whistleblower Statute Protection chapters of the Arizona Employment Handbook. She also co-authored the article “The Top 50 Leading Cases that Shaped Life and Law in Arizona’s First 100 Years,” which was published in the bicentennial issue of Arizona Attorney Magazine. She is the current co-chair of the Employment Law Section of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. Ashley is licensed to practice law in Oregon, Arizona, and New York; the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and District of Arizona; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
