Personalized tutoring, from regular homework assistance to building critical reading and writing skills to preparing for standardized tests. I serve students in the sixth grade through college. Literature, Writing, Algebra I and II, Geometry, PSAT, ACT, SAT, MCAT, and GRE.

As a sixth grade social studies teacher, I developed a curriculum based in the Mediterranean and spanning 3500 years of history, from the Pre-Greeks to the Renaissance. I worked with a strong team to develop cross-curricular links and to align the social studies curriculum from the lower to middle divisions. I organized guest speakers and panels, in-house simulations, and field trips. Additionally, I led cooking classes, organized the annual middle division talent show, and co-directed middle school plays each fall.

As a test prep instructor in Greater Boston and the Oklahoma City Metro, I planned classes, analyzed test results and tailored lessons, graded essays, shared information with the local office, and built rapport with students and parents. To market myself and the Princeton Review, I offered free sample classes and gathered potential client information.

In addition to writing and executing lesson plans for three different subject areas and assisting my students with project and portfolio development during the academic year, during my tenure at Ambrit I differentiated class work for ESL, special needs, and mainstream students; trained teaching interns; revised an interdisciplinary curriculum; developed a behavior policy for a rapidly growing school; and attended professional development programs.

Throughout the program, I supported the director and CC alumni in English and Italian, led short cultural tours, and delivered on-site lectures.

As a teacher at Sylvan, I tested students, assessed their diagnostic results, and instructed them in the skills needed to bridge critical gaps in Math, Reading, Writing, and SAT preparation.

Supported faculty and staff however necessary, kept and filed payroll paperwork, trained other work study students, managed faculty searches, and kept accounts.

I organized recruitment, supervised residential life, collated course materials, and provided academic tutoring to students.
