I have worked in the Mental Health field for 8 years. 6 of those years have been in supervisory positions. I am trained in CPR first Aid, Trauma informed care, Crisis Prevention and Interventions, Medication administration in the state of Missouri, and Case manager Certified in Kansas. I have worked in a lock down residential treatment facility for teens and adolescents, as well as an independent supported living company. Both of those jobs I worked in supervisory positions. While there I became a certified crisis prevention and intervention trainer and taught many classes to staff so they could help better support the individuals in our care. I am currently a school based case manager for a community mental health provider. I work with teens and adolescents in the school and community settings helping them work on coping skills, social skills, and gaining independence. I work hand in hand with their therapists to help them obtain goals listed in their Plan of Care. I have recently been accepted into the Social Work program at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, and I have plans on pursuing my Masters in Social work when this is completed. I want to work in crisis and behavioral health when I graduate.
