FireSide Poets is a local, independent & character driven production and content development collective that brings decades’ worth of experience & accolades from across the worlds of television, film and digital to each Maine-based project developed or executed.FSP's mission is to develop Maine or New England themed projects that are either set in, feature characters from or speak directly to the fundamental character of the region primarily for television and film for a national audience. • Designed television programming contract database to include 20 years of historical data (3,000 contracts) and entry of 300 more contracts annually. Database developed as prerequisite for Digital Asset Management project launch.• Defined cross-departmental requirements and resulting work-flow processes for the Digital Asset Management Project, inclusive of metadata standards and vocabulary. • Outlined resources and process required to accomplish creation and maintenance of contract database including selection of associates and proposed capital and operational budgetary needs. • Trained and managed a team of 7 associates comprised of attorneys, paralegals, and contract administrators.• Implemented on-going cross-departmental business practices to sustain the accuracy of contract administration and coordination.• Provided production coordination and assistance for all ESPN Original Entertainment programming that included use of 3rd-part footage (i.e. the Sportscentury series, the annual ESPY Awards, and The Life).• Negotiated legal clearance and fees for use of all 3rd-party footage within ESPN Original Entertainment programs through maintenance of prominent industry relationships including members of the International Olympic Committee, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, ABC News, ABC Sports, HBO Sports, NBC Sports, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, 20th Century FOX, and DreamWorks SKG, among others (the 2002 and 2003 ESPY Awards only utilized 60% and 53% of available budgets respectively).• Recognized existing television programming available for further exploitation and repurposing across multiple media platforms through assessment of acquired distribution rights (ESPN Deportes, ESPN High Def, ESPN International, ESPN.com, ESPN Syndication, and ESPN Video-On-Demand).
