As a Trainer contracted to Cumbria Police, I helped to deliver one of the major internal projects which affected all police computer systems across Cumbria. This involved:• Working as part of a team to produce a live training package which was both robust and detailed that met stakeholders needs.• As part of this contract I also developed training materials, ensure they were not only fit for purpose but easy for the end user to understand.•The training materials produced were then delivered to over 2,000 police staff, I delievered training in both a classroom setting and on the job.• I delievered training to a variety of different roles to ensure that all customers were comfortable with all aspects of IT that allowed them to conduct their specific role. This often required me to quickly grasp brand new software applications• I conducted training evaluations wihich required me to collect and use feedback on my training sessions to ensure that I adapted my courses to meet the needs of the end user to help maximise their productivity• I also provided onsite first line support to operational staff around the county, to ensure they were confident with the new changes and any issues were resolved

I worked as a Course Leader and Computing Lecturer in the Computing and Business department at Lakes College. Working within a diverse and active teaching team my responsibilities included:• Teaching and assessing Computer Science (from Level 2 up to HND and Degree)• Teaching finance units (levels 2 and 3) including some aspects of AAT units: Spreadsheets for Accountants, using Sage accounts. As well as Math across a range of levels up to GCSE level • Planning, preparing a high standard of teaching materials which involved listening, understanding and taking into consideration the needs and differences of individual learners• As a course leader, producing detailed reports and analysis, to support management• Tender writing for new computing equipment, including analysis of the financial costs against the benefits the new technology would bring• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employers and strategic partners in the area to help give students opportunities in the work place• Mentoring two new teachers as they completed their teaching qualification to support them within their roles which included: policies and procedures as well as standardised teaching documentation and practices
