Collaborating with team of undergraduates to develop a genetic operational amplifier circuit for CAR-T cells for use in solid-tumor immunotherapy. Secured grant funding from the Asimov Foundation and project was awarded the 2023 iGEM Impact Grant; work will be presented at the international iGEM Grand Jamboree in Paris, October 2023.

Collaborated in the development and validation of the Novel Organoid-Dependent Drug Efficiency Screening platform (NODES), a high-throughput method for glioma drug screening. Successfully established a co-culture system of cancer cells and brain organoids that better recapitulates the tumor microenvironment and can be used to perform accurate in vitro drug testing; project won silver medal at the 2022 international iGEM Grand Jamboree.

Assisted with CRISPR screen for genes involved in peripheral Treg differentiation using both lentiviral transduction and electroporation mouse model systems. Designed and performed spectral flow cytometry panels for immune cell profiling and quantitatively analyzed the data using FlowJo and R.

Assisted with development of virtual reality platform to visualize single-cell genomics data. Processed data from published papers using dimensionality reduction techniques in Python and uploaded to platform.

Assisted research on the formation of pathway-specific dopaminergic synapses in the brain. Responsible for sectioning, staining and imaging mouse brains to determine the role of the SMAD-1 gene in synapse formation.
