In my current position I am helping mold the creation of our new centralized communications department within the Division of Student Affairs. I work hand-in-hand with the Digital Marketing Director to ensure that the technologies behind our outreach efforts provide the best possible experience for both internal and external users. I oversee all of the efforts on the student/faculty/staff portals, mobile applications, intranet sites and assist in the division’s public websites. I also serve as the business functional lead on any division-wide IT projects. These efforts require organization and collaboration with internal and external IT departments as well as various stakeholders in 25+ business units within the university. - Successful launch of numerous portal features including: student portal redesign, electronic consent addition, native mobile application launch for conducting portal business transactions, addition of portal banner/news and announcements widgets. - Phased rollout of the first university intranet to major business units. This included the creation of the site housing all internal newsletter content and announcements.- Serve as representative on numerous university committees including IT governance, university web strategy, CMS selection committee, CMS implementation advisory committee, Student Affairs Conference committee and other administrative groups.- Functional lead on current implementation of new student success system working with all functional stakeholders, leadership, and the IT implementation team. - Continued liaison between University IT departments and Student Affairs senior leadership.- Co-manage 2 student workers

This position was newly created with my addition to the Student Affairs team. As a team of 1, my main goal was to provide continued support to over 25 internal departments consisting of over 500 people on all of their websites and other technology related needs to better serve students, faculty and staff. - Began development and implementation strategies for long-term maintenance and development of websites, student portals and mobile applications for the Division of Student Affairs. - Created website goals, target audiences, information architecture and other user experience design.- Gathered current and prospective student portal requirements.- Liaison between University IT departments and Student Affairs leadership.- Project managed successful implementation of online Denver and Anschutz campus maps with external vendor.- Chaired committees of university faculty and staff members to steer decision-making processes around digital media and web usage.- Served as representative on numerous university committees including IT governance, university web strategy, and administrative groups. - Managed one student worker.

•Created multiple Windows Phone 7 applications that were published to the app store. •Software development participant in 2009, 2010 Imagine Cup • Project manager: created and maintained all product design documents including the project calendar, scope document, CRC cards, class diagrams, activity diagrams, use-cases, project plans, business requirements, and technical architecture. • 2009 – built “The Ding Dong Dock,” a Windows Phone 7 application utilizing live tiles and push notifications to alert user if their doorbell had been rung. • 2010 – built “Greeley After Dark,” a Windows Phone 7 social application allowing users to post, view, and subscribe to events going on in the Greeley community. Database was built and hosted in Azure cloud services.
