I am currently a student at the University of Minnesota majoring in Biology, Society, and Environment with an emphasis on Biology and a focus on healthcare-related coursework. This interdisciplinary program allows me to make meaningful connections between biology and the societal and environmental factors that influence health outcomes. By studying the societal aspect, I’ll gain a deeper understanding of cultural diversity, healthcare disparities, and how different communities experience healthcare. The environmental component provides a strong foundation in applying biological principles ethically, ensuring that science serves not just progress but also the well-being of people and the planet.In addition to my major, I am pursuing a double minor in Leadership and Neuroscience. Through my Leadership studies, I am developing the skills necessary to drive change and promote equity within the healthcare field. My Neuroscience minor further deepens my understanding of the brain and its intricate functions, fueling my passion for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and concussion research. I am committed to specializing in concussion care, where I hope to contribute to advancing research and improving outcomes for individuals affected by TBIs.
