I am responsible for negotiation of liability, settlements and determining coverage. It is important in this role to understand the SPF 1 and how it's limitations, endorsements and sections apply. I am responsible for ensuring that coverage issues are addressed, policies are followed and customers have been informed in a way that they can understand the process and define the roles of the customer and the insurer. In addition I identify policy exposures, subrogation opportunity, red flags and breaches.

I worked with Intact in a variety of roles ranging from underwriting assistant where I got my start in insurance with Broker Services Unit where I first started processing new business applications, and endorsements. I transitioned into claims as a customer service representative where I learned about the different aspects of claims, while I was not adjusting at that point I learned invaluable knowledge commenting or directing calls on any claim that I could access from Auto,to Property and even CGL. From there I started as an auto claims adjuster and there after into commercial claims handling, where again I was challenged to quickly learn new endorsements and policies.
