Ashley Feaster joined Palmetto Electric Cooperative, Inc. in September of 2015 as the Manager for Community Affairs and Economic Development. Palmetto Electric Cooperative is one of South Carolina’s member-owned power utilities, serving Southern Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton Counties. In her role, Ashley oversees the Cooperative’s local and statewide legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts, as well as its involvement in regional economic development. She guides the development of policies and positions supported by the Cooperative, and directs the implementation of strategies to secure meaningful results for Palmetto Electric Cooperative’s 72,000+ member accounts. Prior to joining Palmetto Electric Cooperative, Ashley served nine years as the Chief Executive Officer to the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association, managing the professional trade organization and its more than 500 industry members. Before moving to the Lowcountry, Ashley was the Senior Director of State and Local Political Field Operations for the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, DC, where she directed the organization’s national grassroots campaign efforts for more than six years. She has also worked as a political media consultant and overseen numerous candidate and issues advocacy campaigns nationwide. Ashley earned her Master’s Degree in Political Management from George Washington University in Washington, DC and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. She is an active member of her community, serving on the board of directors to the Beaufort County Economic Development Corporation, Southern Carolina Regional Development Alliance, Beaufort Jasper Housing Trust, Bluffton Self Help, Red Cedar Elementary School Improvement Council and The Farmers Market of Bluffton. Ashley and her husband Jeff and their two children Mason and Addison live in historic downtown Bluffton, South Carolina. They enjoy traveling and spending time on their boat cruising the May River and Lowcountry waterways.
