MTR residents serve in urban classrooms with mentor teachers while receiving training of best practices of teaching.• Provide consistent and constructive feedback in all areas of teaching (planning, delivery, classroom leadership, professionalism, community engagement, etc.) • Model current best practices and explain their rationale • Develop and encourage aspiring teachers to be great effective educators for students in the areas of greatest need • Communicating with coach in regards to resident progress and development• Develop action plans and gradual release that is individualized and realistic.
