Fueled by my strong work ethic and willingness to talk to anyone, I have realized that I thrive when I can be both social and productive. I was brought up in environments that provided me with the exposure of talking to new people, which allowed me to become quite a people person. Because of this, I consistently find myself subconsciously putting myself in a position to meet new people. I have had the opportunity to express this skill of mine in many aspects of my life, two of which being a Ben & Jerry’s Shift Leader and the Event Director for Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. These positions have given me the opportunity to communicate with people I had not previously met and allowed me to exercise my social skills in a more professional setting. Beyond this, I also was a volunteer camp counselor, which allowed me to use my communication skills in more of a leadership role. Through these experiences, I have been complimented on the energy I bring and the excitement I carry. I have benefitted from these opportunities by putting myself in the position of communicating with people of all ages, as well as professionals. Going forward, I am interested in working in sales. I am eager to use my skills in a way that can benefit more than just myself and, instead, a business.
