Ashley is a practicing psychotherapist; a relationship expert in the media (television/radio/print); a national media spokesperson (Travelocity, Poise, Match.com, TD bank). She is a corporate and wellness speaker; and is the creator of The Spa Date- a relationship retreat for couples operating in The Vintage Hotel Group. Ashley began her career in academics as a researcher in Cognitive Psychology; was a published author (Journal of Neuroscience Methods and Cognition); and was a Cognition Lab/Psychology instructor at various Canadian Universities. Ashley was awarded a Canadian Social Science and Humanities Research Council Award for her research and promise in the field before completing her Masters of Science Degree in Couple and Family Therapy and obtaining her registration as an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy clinician. Ashley has worked in various Child and Adolescent and Family Mental Health agencies in Canada, helping families to create resolution and value in their daily lives through therapy; leading and creating therapeutic workshops; mediation/reconciliation; and familial courtroom representation. Ashley is best known for her positive and solution-foucsed approach to therapy and now practices individual and couple's therapy privately and at Balance Integrated Healthcare when in Toronto. In addition to her therapy practice, Ashley works in the media as a relationship expert and as a national spokesperson for various companies as they relate to psychology and relationships. Ashley can be seen as the resident on-air relationship expert for The Marilyn Denis Show.
