Managing multiple active petroleum terminal sites, where duties include client interaction, sampling coordination, regulatory compliance, utilizing a cost proposal database, and data analysis. Drafting and preparing various reports such as Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, Closure, Site Characterization, Groundwater Monitoring, and Risk Assessment Reports. Utilizing the EQuIS database and the Groundwater Spatio-Temporal Data Analysis Tool (GWSDAT), an open-source, user-friendly software application for the visualization and interpretation of groundwater monitoring data. Conducting groundwater sampling that includes low-flow and bailer sampling for petroleum sites, commercial and industrial properties, and current and former bulk fuel storage terminals.

Investigated impacts of saltwater intrusion on soil chemistry, focusing on soil carbon dynamics over time in coastal wetlands.

Worked with Dr. Arif Siker to assess heavy metal pollution in the sediments of the Roanoke River with a specific focus on lead. Presented results at the annual Geological Society of America conference in March 2017.

Worked in Dr. Scott Neubauer's Wetland Biogeochemistry lab, studying environmental changes on freshwater tidal marshes including: saltwater intrusion, sea level rise, changes in nutrient/sediment inputs from nearby watersheds and how they are likely to impact cycling of elements within wetlands.
