Founder and Trainer who has served educators across the country for over 15 years. Formerly a principal, trainer, administrator, coach, and actress, and always a teacher - I love serving schools and supporting teachers. In my role, I work with school leaders to develop content that will help their school implement training that eases the burden on leaders and is meaningful and engaging for teachers.

Leadership Training, Coaching, and Programming. Created content for and facilitated numerous Assistant/Principal meetings and trainings ranging from leading in a mobile environment, supporting rigorous instruction, and monitoring and evaluating in a crisis. Coached Leaders with real-time support. Created and facilitated the Principal Academy and Principal Fellowship; programs for new and aspiring building leaders. Received an average rating of 96% Strongly/Agree on follow-up surveys with statements like “I learned a new skill” and more.Specialized Trainings. Created content for and conducted numerous educator trainings both in-person and virtual. Specialized in literacy trainings (Targeted Small Group Reading, in particular), mobile and hybrid learning environments, and student engagement in any venue. Consistently received ratings of 95% Strongly/Agree on follow-up surveys with statements like “I learned a new skill” and more.Teacher Coaching. Provided virtual and in-person coaching that included student engagement, Reading and Writing co-planning, and classroom management. Students in these teachers’ classes grew an average of 1.5 years in their related subject.

As Principal, grew our school from a “C” in 15/16, to a “B” in 16/17, and then to an “A” in 17/18. Enrollment increased 67% from approximately 600 students in 15/16 to over 1,000 students in 18/19. In three years, moved the school to operating in a balanced budget, with high staff retention. Led Professional Development for various Principal and Assistant Principal meetings, including leading a well-attended and reviewed session at the 2018 Leadership 20/20 Conference.

Led the school in culture, high expectations, data-driven instruction, and effective communication. Began programs such as WOW Wednesdays in Middle School, and our Reading On Your Level (ROYL) intervention and extension time in our elementary school, both of which have expanded

Coached and supported teachers with data-driven instruction, high-yield instruction, and other teacher and student observational feedback. Maintained an “A” rating.

My 1st grade students grew 1.75 years in reading in one school year as measured by the DRA. In addition, they mastered 95.6% of math Sunshine State Standards as measured by the End-of-Year exam.In one year, my 3rd grade students passed the FCAT with 90% proficiency in math and 82% proficiency in reading.Participated in the school’s hiring committee for recruiting and interviewing teachers.

Trained incoming Corps Members in teaching and all aspects of education. Supported, coached, observed, and provided feedback to teachers at the Chicago Summer Institute of 2011.

2009 Corps Member within Jacksonville, FL (Duval County Public Schools).Nominated and finalist for the Sue Lehman Award for Excellence in Teaching.Was the key corps member speaker at the Teach for American induction into Alumni status at the 2011 TFA ceremony.

My 2nd grade students grew 1.86 years in reading in one school year as measured by the DRA. In addition, they mastered 85.1% of math Sunshine State Standards as measured by the End-of-Year exam.In one year, my 3rd grade students successfully closed the achievement gap by 29% in Reading and 63.9% in math (as measured by FCAT). I was part of a 3rd grade team that aided in moving my school from a D grade to a B grade in only one school year. I empowered my students to be independent learners and established a safe culture of risk-takers.
