I began my Purchasing career in the agricultural industry working in a beef processing plant at JBS USA in Plainwell, Michigan as a Purchasing Assistant. I learned everything I could and put in all the hours and ended up really enjoying the field I was in. I was then promoted to Maintenance Parts Supervisor at Pilgrim’s in Marshville, NC overlooking all MRO inventory and employees. I moved states in my new role to learn about a different protein this time, chicken. After about 2 years in the chicken plant I was offered a job in the textile industry at McCoy Machinery as a Purchasing Manager where I learned a lot about machine shop buying, custom parts off prints and assembly. Now I reside in a Buyer roll at Spatco Energy Solutions as I learn about the petroleum industry! As someone who loves to learn and have an impact in the career I’m in I’m so thankful for all my past experiences and the knowledge they’ve all given me in my personal and professional career. Growth is absolutely possible in any situation and I’m living, successful proof of it.
