I have been in the childcare/early education field for 18 years. I have had experience subbing and through practicums in many of the public schools in the Topeka area. I have worked at Family Service and Guidance Center in their ECIP program, Washburn University's CARES program, and TDC Learning Centers prior to being hired at Christ the King Early Education Center. I began as the half-day prekindergarten teacher at CTKEEC, moved to School Age Director, the Assistant Director, and am now the Director since March 2020. I truly am passionate about teaching young minds in their early stages of development (when it is most critical.) Seeing their faces when they are learning new things and mastering new skills is priceless. My goal is to be an advocate for early childhood educators to be seen as professionals and to encourage more funding for early childhood education programs. I had a wonderful mentoring Director. I love to put into action the principles and practices I have learned.
