The internship was conducted at Eckerd College with Dr. Jeannine Lessmann. I processed and analyzed soil and sediment samples from Dr. Lessmann's research on wetland restoration in order to assess the impacts of different restoration methods and the ecological trajectory of restored sites in Tampa Bay, FL. Training in EndNote and other online scientific literature databases was an important component of the internship. The internship was for a minimum of 10 hours per week for a total of 150 hours.
