About Ashley Mckelvey

I have previously worked in patient care settings as a certified nursing assistant and home caregiver. In my career, I have gained clinical and interpersonal skills. I have expanded into working in clinical research at Oregon State University studying preterm and full term infant nutrition through the Dallas Lab. I have developed proficiency in several laboratory techniques such as cell culture, in vitro digestion, protein extraction and purification, ELISA, and SDS-PAGE. Currently I am pursuing a Bachelor's of science in nutrition and dietetics, and later a Master's of science in nutrition and PhD to continue my research.
