With this job, I help aide the teacher with tasks in a timely efficient manner. I assist the students with writing and letter recognition, as well as delivering clear directions they shall be able to understand and follow. Helping teach numbers and the English language is extremally important in the class I serve, as we prepare the children to move on to the next grade. Another important aspect of my job is communication with the parents. I am able to answer their questions regarding the class, its teaching, as well as how the overall operation of our school works. I have to, and am able to, write up reports for the parents clearly communicating important information. I do all of this, along side of taking care of different tasks which the director of the school assigns to me.

I started working as a social media manager back in July of 2020. Social media has always been a passion of mine, both because I love photography as well as creatively coming up with captions which helps promote business. In the past I have done the social media for a real-estate business, a small shop I used to work at, and a small horseback riding business. Within each, I was able to help bring growth to these business as I stayed on top of different trends and the current algorithm. I delivered clear communication through posts, stories, as well as answering direct messages sent to said accounts. I was also able to pass on my knowledge to those I worked for, helping them to be able to take over their social media accounts with clarity and confidence.

Working at Cursive has been an inspiring aspect of my life which has helped me in so many areas when it comes to work ethic. As small home-good/gift business, many of my tasks included being able to decorate, manage products, setting schedules for my fellow coworkers, helping customers both in the store as well as over the phone, both ordering deliveries as well as managing their arrival, carrying out the vision of the store owner and being able to plan steps ahead, coming up with creative and attractive sayings for the store, lightly managing the social media, calling different clients to schedule appointments and calling customers to update them about their orders. The store was also known for holding events such as birthdays, makers markets, birthday parties, etc. During such events it was my job to keep the store running, in order, as this was going on at the same time. Many of these tasks needed to be accomplished at the same time, overlapping and creating a talent of multitasking while getting them done in a precise, timely manner.

During this time I worked as a section editor for the Lifestyle section of California Baptist University's (CBU) newspaper, The Banner. This job included creating intriguing stories which college students would enjoy, interviewing two student sources and one professional, as well as keeping in clear communication with the assigned photographer for the project. Weekly deadlines were to be met, which I was able to accomplish while obtaining my degree at the same time. Edits were done in a timely and well organized manner, as well as using Google Docs to update the progress of each article.
