As a Child Nutrition Area Manager at Assumption Parish School Board, I ensure all school cafeterias in Assumption Parish follow proper procedures and regulations related to ordering, receiving, storing, handling, preparation and serving of food. I have more than 13 years of experience in child nutrition, and I hold 2 bachelor's degrees in health services. I am passionate about providing nutritious, safe, and delicious meals to students and staff, and I have developed and implemented multiple initiatives to improve the quality, variety, and accessibility of the food services. Some of my achievements include increasing the participation rate of the breakfast and lunch programs, reducing food waste and costs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and collaborating with the Child Nutrition Program Director for the betterment of the program. I have also trained and supervised several teams of food service employees, ensuring high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and customer service. I am skilled in child nutrition, food safety, food management, and leadership, and I am always eager to learn new ways to enhance the child nutrition program and support the educational goals of the district. I am proud to be part of the Assumption Parish School Board, and I share its mission of providing a safe, nurturing, and challenging learning environment for all students.
