Oversee the implementation of a multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) program for reading with daily intervention services provided to 40 students. Manage the screening and diagnostic testing for the entire school which totals 30 teachers and 560 students and equip teachers with the skills necessary to analyze assessment data. Collaborate with classroom and special education teachers to evaluate data-based decisions and determine individual needs/progress of students within the MTSS framework and build pertinent interventions. Direct the planning and daily activities of two paraeducators who collectively teach 60 students. Provide professional development to district teachers regarding best practices in reading instruction, appropriate reading interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support.✔ Coached and mentored teachers and successfully implemented evidence and research-based tier two and three reading interventions with students at risk of reading failure.✔ Reorganized the MTSS structure in 2019 to align with the Kansas MTSS framework and delivered research and evidence-based intervention practices.✔ Served as the co-chair of the Title One team which ensured compliance and strategic improvement plans and led the Building Leadership team through Kansas Accreditation and Design.✔ Played a pivotal role on multiple committees which served parents, students, and teachers with work on managing professional development and licensure for 35 teachers and analyzing reading data with 30 teachers along with focus on social emotional learning, general education interventions, and district leadership.✔ Received the Maize Central Elementary Excellence in Education Award in 2020.

Taught a class of up to 25 students each year and utilized research and evidence-based practices in both individual and group settings. Evaluated the needs of each student and adapted methods and materials accordingly, aligning with the Kansas MTSS structuring guide. Collaborated with school administration and community leadership in addition to teachers and parents to achieve student success and served as a mentor for early educators. Attended IEPs and conducted screening assessments, communicating key data with families to ensure a strong support system for students.✔ Spearheaded the Cohort Member-Teacher Leadership Team and contributed significantly to the Building Leadership Team as well as the Reading Leadership Cadre.

Designed and executed diverse lessons in large and small group settings for a class size of 15-20 students and identified students who were struggling in effort to implement necessary interventions. Collaborated with the Kansas Technical Assistance Support Network (TASN) as well as teachers and district administrators to deliver a successful MTSS implementation. Served as site council and PTO building representative and engaged with stakeholders to influence change. Built and maintained positive relationships with students which guided behavioral expectations. Mentored new teachers and served on various committees.✔ Received a nomination for the Horizon Award and served as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) Leader as well as a MTSS Implementation Committee Member.
