I began my path 20 years ago, working specifically with individuals and families with developmental disabilities. Later, I moved into a systematic approach advocating and collaborating in WNC communities around behavioral health services and supports for families through my role as System of Care Coordinator and Community Education Specialist in a managed care setting. I am a certified Adult & Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Darkness 2 Light Facilitator, and Resources for Resilience Resiliency Educator. Over the past 10 years, I have had the amazing opportunity to train and collaborate with various community stakeholders, schools, faith based organizations, law enforcement, first responders, and healthcare professionals. Stress and trauma impacts all of us, individually and collectively. Through connection and compassion we can strengthen resiliency for individuals and our communities.
