My current job role revolves around technology; I within IT services which is very customer focused, technically challenging and dynamic department. I am part of a four person team which offers front line support that looks after the mobile devices within Aneruin Bevan University Health Board. Typically any device that is not Windows based falls under this category, such as Android phones, iOS mobile phones, iPads, iPods etc. I work closely with people of all levels, including consultants, doctors, Nurses as well as other office staff which may often need one to one training and support on these mobile devices. All of which revolves around our call logging system for orders, faults and general inquiries.I am also part of a separate two person team, who are responsible for the mobile devices of a pilot Project with the main objective of making hospitals record their observations electronically. This project is to ensure patient safety within the healthcare system, preventing infections such as sepsis occurring. This requires travel between different sites at a moment’s notice.I have spent time with other teams within ICT. Such as Desktop Services in Nevill Hall Hospital and the Networks team, where I learned how to configure switches, Access Points, and learned first hand how important these teams are to the overall running of the IT infrastructure.

There were many aspects to this job, which could very often change daily to meet the needs of the Health Service. I was responsible for scanning patients notes in order to digitize the records, modernising the NHS. Filing patient notes used by different departments with the oganisation. Retrieving patients notes for clinics and delivering them to health records. Collecting and prepping notes ready to be scanned.

Customer care adviser for the home insurance department. Logging and dealing with new and old complaint on a daily basis. Real time conversations with disgruntled customers, conversation with the customer to come to a mutual understanding. Paid distress and inconvenience when applicable.

Remediation project looking over old cases of critical illness payment protection insurance. Reviewing the cases to find out if the customer had been wrongly declined, if this was the case then the customer would be contacted to payed the amount owed.
