Design is my passion. I have always been average at STEM related education. Before I discovered my passion in design related studies, I was indecisive of what I wanted to be when I grew up. I fluctuated between thoughts of becoming an astronaut and a sport doctor. Design has given me a whole new perspective in life, and I couldn't imagine living in a world without it.. Art, in graphic design terms, is used to spread information to the public in a creative way. I want to be responsible for spreading crucial messages to the community. To be the one who creates the visual campaign for world hunger. My main goal, once I have entered the design world, is to have the ability to influence a popular trend. Like all forms of commercialized work there is some type of design fad that influences their piece. For an example, the designer who created the “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster; has influenced the production of thousands of commercialized media that ripped off this slogan. To be able to wake up in the morning and look on a form of social media, while seeing my design direct creativity into an art piece would make my life complete. I hope that someday my designs can have the power to literally make someone stop in their path. To have them so dumbfounded that their whole entire perspective of art has changed; thus influencing them to dig into their left brain and create wonderful pieces of art.

During August of this year, I received a job at Mexican Sugar as a food runner. Having a job in the restaurant business will give me experience in the industry which will in hand give me a one up on a waitress job in the future.
