I work in Sydney Water's Process Improvement team for Drinking Water and Recycled Water treatment plants. I am responsible for leading and delivering improvement projects across these treatment plants. I am also responsible for providing technical advice to other areas of Sydney Water relating to Water and Recycled Water treatment, bulk chemical quality and other technical information.Some of my achievements:- Improved tertiary treatment process at a Water Recycling Plant to reduce aluminium in the effluent by 75%- Developed a new method for assessment of dual media filter backwash performance an implemented at a Water Filtration Plant with significant improvement to backwash process and reduction in operating cost

In 2015 I joined the Operations Contract team where I was responsible for:- Monthly invoice audits of large long-term contracts for operation of Water Filtration Plants- Assisting with contract extensions- Provide technical advice to contract plantsAt Rouse Hill Water Recycling Plant (2014) my responsibilities include:- Project manage centrifuge polymer dosing optimisation and upgrade- Manage maintenance portfolio through tracking reports, maintenance meetings and liasing with maintenance contractors and operation staff- Develop skills in operating a complex water recycling plant and assist plant team where required- Train operators in maintenance operating proceduresWhile at North Richmond Water Filtration Plant (2013) my responsibilities included: - Project manage upgrade and maintenance projects at North Richmond and Cascade WFP including working with contractors- Preparation of asset isolation and flow management plans for safe entry into confined spaces at Cascades WFP- Provide chemical/process engineering assistance to plant team during team meetings and plant optimisation trials- Assist production team with daily tasks including lab tests and plant inspections- Develop a cost model for operating a water filtration plantWhile with Waste Water Network Operations (2012) my responsibilities included:- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and waste water overflow incidents- Perform safety audits on waste water pump stations and contractors- Organise pump station cleaning- Review developer applications for sewer construction
