My current dissertation research will focus on investigating neurovascular coupling and cerebral blood flow changes during traumatic brain injury using neurophotonics methods such as 2-photon imaging.

I am investigating the contributions of known substrates for peptidylarginine deiminases (PADS) to the formation of anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPAs) involved in rheumatoid arthritis. My role in the project involves isolating neutrophils, stimulating the neutrophils under different conditions and analyzing neutrophils using Western blot technique.

Chosen as one of 60 high-achieving yet underserved New York City students for a prestigious career development program that seeks to level the playing field for college and thus career by providing access to career opportunities, professional networks and college preparation and mentorship.
