I'm currently going to school to give myself the resources needed to be a positive impact on future generations. I aspire to be a role model on campus and provide a safe space for students to learn academically and emotionally. I hope my passions for math and teaching is a reason for students to get excited when they walk through the door. I'm in my 2nd year of teaching 8th grade mathematics and I've learned a lot about classroom management. Using social and emotional strategies to connect with students who get discouraged in a math class has been a highlight. Watching student's attitudes change walking into class shows me I'm making a small difference in their educational growth.I will continue to attend training to have flexibility and progression in my classroom. I will learn to adapt to students as their learning needs change. This will put me in a better position to TEACH during instructional time.
