I was raised on my grandmother’s farm in Fruita, CO where I was fed by the sun and soil, just like the crops we tended. I developed an appreciation for the hard work required to produce something so naturally healthy and the reward of sharing it with others. And I’ve poured that passion into my career.For the past decade, I’ve been growing high-yield, high-quality cannabis, in addition to “growing” profitable, upscale businesses – both of which have focused on keeping people happy and healthy.With my tenure as Head of Cultivation, backed by GM work in the hospitality and wellness sectors, I have the experience necessary to recognize a healthy bud as well as a healthy P&L. I care about budgets as much as soil quality. I value a good “growth strategy” in more ways than one: as both a business manager and a horticulturist. I’m expert with local, state, and federal regulations governing everything from permitting to emissions and I always ensure full compliance with the ever-changing health, safety, and environmental codes.I’ve supervised greenhouse operations several times over, managing nutrient schedules, fertilization, and pH testing while purchasing and maintaining CO2 regulators, pumps, and HVAC systems. Building a grow facility and cultivation center from the ground up requires a can-do attitude. Scaling that business to a yield of 180 lbs./harvest in just a few short years requires business-savvy leadership and a willingness to get your hands dirty.In addition to running several grow facilities and driving administrative operations for a medical marijuana practice, I’ve also built and managed a successful fitness studio, bringing wellness to 1,500 people every week. I was just as content leading the classes myself as training, mentoring, and generally inspiring my staff. Culture is everything when it comes to managing a team. You have to remember to keep things fun and inclusive as well as uber-productive.Whether in the boardroom or the grow room, I give 110% to my work and I proudly reap what I sow.
