Ashley is a senior at UCLA studying Astrophysics. Her curiosity to explore the unknown stems from years of exposure to the phenomenon that is our universe. During Ashley's 4 years of experience as a technical intern for The Aerospace Corporation, she's worked with an interdisciplinary team on several projects, including those that involve data analysis and representation, and research to provide insight and solutions to the current problems facing the space industry. Having the opportunity to conduct research with Carnegie Observatories, she is working to provide a better understanding of stellar evolution. The advancement of scientific knowledge is extremely important to her, and she takes pride in finding the best ways to learn and communicate science effectively.Outside of her coursework, she also enjoys practicing photography. Her love for physics and optics translates into a creative side, where she gets to explore the world from a unique point of view. Ashley loves to photograph people and has extensive experience shooting portraits and senior photos. As an astrophysics major, astronomy has a special place in her heart, and she's been learning how to take photos of our night sky!
