My responsibility as a group leader involved me mentoring 12 middle school girls from 6-8th grade including:• Ensuring that the girls exited the cafeteria during dismissal to attend their class group• Took attendance and presented the form to the office administrator• Created lesson plans for when the instructor was absent for the day• Monitored the girls during their after-school activities to ensure there was no usage of cellphones, hallways were clear of students unless they had a pass, escorted them to the bathroom, etc.• Provided snacks for the girls prior to the instructor arriving• At the end of the instructional day, I checked all desks and cleared any mess for the next school day. • Ensured the ladies had a safe space to work in at all times.
