Yúusnew̓as is a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh community-led project to research and document the residential school experiences of our stélmexw (people). The project intends to provide a safe space to listen to truth-tellers and take care of one another with cultural, emotional, and spiritual wellness support. This process has ancestors, truth-tellers, and stélmexw at its heart as we highlight pathways of healing for today and generations to come.

Specialty in working with indigenous organizations and non-profits, however still dabble in biotech and tech consulting. Deep understanding and empathetic interest in supporting First Nations and Indigenous Communities overcoming barriers to community, family, and individual success. Work within all departments, however, an interest in human resource strategies, operational performance, strategic vision and departmental alignment, Council governance improvements, and multi-million dollar Project Direction. Currently working with wonderful not-for-profit, Indigenous, and First Nations clients, and looking forward to learning more through new relationships and new clients.

Leading the core strategies in the fast paced world of biotech, supporting the alignment of market needs through disruptive technologies. Core product offering is a unique, patent pending, synthetic surfactant that is unmatched against any other organic surfactant. Tested with excellent results in many industries, such as Medical, Drug Delivery, Agriculture, and Oil and Gas.Currently working on commercialization within the agriculture industry to reduce the need of the over use of fertilizers, more efficient use of water, increased ability for plants to absorb nutrients, increased strength for the plant to protect against pests, and reduce impacts to the environment. I want to enable clients to achieve their best. I continue to work with organizations to improve overall performance through both developing strategic plans and business models that work, and by objectively reviewing various (procurement, financial, operational) practices against best practices. Recently, I have focused more on creating significant shifts in organizations’ behaviour by facilitating in a more explicit, fast-paced, and hands-on way. These workshops are condensed and immersive. This process, acknowledged by many clients as a ‘first’ in their experience, has shifted teams to actively drive towards a clarified purpose in a cost effective way. Clients that have gone through these sessions are excited, enthusiastic, and re-energized towards a common vision. My last year has had a focus on strategy and operational excellence in the form of objective process and governance reviews. This has been truly engaging work for me, as these entities have a strong desire to achieve effective delivery of their programs to assist their clients, customers, or community. I continue to facilitate numerous training sessions throughout BC and online on the topic of Strategic Planning, competitive value, market or organizational alignment, organizational health, and work with clients on refreshing their visions, priorities, and performance towards their goals. Most of all, which seems to be a big success factor for me, I can talk with the folks that cannot match their socks, the executives that lead them, and all the wonderful people in-between. My work, currently, is approximately 50% charity or non-profit, 50% Indigenous.

Providing advice and guidance for large scale private and public sector organizations in the areas of results based investment and strategy planning, business modelling, solution architecture, and governance. Offering change management, BPM, governance, business architecture, risk management, and portfolio management. Significant experience offering technology - business - people alignment.Projects included some extremely fulfilling work with first nations communities and crown corporations. Generally, I am working on corporate governance models customized specifically to self-government, full community strategic planning and alignment to government strategic priorities, strategic risk management against strategic priorities, and a variety of facilitation's with large groups (12 - 100).

Strategically plan, align, analyze, prioritize IM/IT investments across government which included direct solutioning with ministries. Developed numerous strategic products for the OCIO to assist the Ministries to identify the right problem, that the technology and process will effectively and efficiently deliver the solution, and that Government can map real results when the initiative is delivered. Some products that I lead were the IM/IT investment management framework including the foundation for the IMIT investment life-cycle for all capital investments for BC government, including but not limited to the governance framework, outcome management, and performance measurement criteria, financial models, portfolio management, and strategic enterprise planning.
